Q: What is sfbam?
A: Sfbam, which stands for san francisco
bay area muse, is a web-based email list which allows email communication
among all subscribers of the list. It means posting an email to the
list will send that message to all list subscribers and they in turn
can reply back. This allows a forum to discuss all things poetry in
the San Francisco Bay Area and can be an information resource on all
upcoming events, readings, slams, open mikes, book releases etc. The
list is open to anyone who has an interest in the San Francisco Bay
Area poetry scene.
Q: How do I join sfbam?
A: Enter the email address you wish
to be subscribed to sfbam in the box below and click on the join now
button.
Q: How do I get off sfbam?
A: There are two ways. You can email
david, the list maintainer and
say you want to be taken off or you can visit sfbam's
home and unsubscribe through your web browser
Q: How do I post a message to everyone
on the list?
A: Any messages meant to be shown
to all list subscribers must be emailed to sfbam@yahoogroups.com
from which the server will automatically take the message and
send it to everyone.
Q: How do I reply to a message
in sfbam?
A: There are two forms of
replying, privately and publicly. Replying privately means sending
a message solely to the sender of the message and not to everyone
on the list. This is done by choosing the "reply" command
in your email client. Replying publicly means sending a message
to the sender of the message and everybody else on the list.
This is done by choosing the "reply all" command in
your email client.
Q: Are there any rules for sfbam?
A: Be nice, no spamming,
no message file attachments. Be mindful to excise unecessary
text when posting and replying so bandwidth and space is not
wasted.
Q: Is there anyway that
I can get the subscriber list?
A: Sorry, the subscriber
list is private.
Q: Is there an archive of previous
sfbam messages?
A: Yes, there is an archive of all
sfbam posts at the sfbam
home
Q: I have a question that
isn't answered here.
A: Email david,
the list maintainer.
